Cody Rhodes Vs. Kevin Owens Announced For WWE Bash In Berlin 2024

Cody Rhodes’ next challenger for the Undisputed WWE Championship has been officially revealed, as he will defend the gold against fellow friend Kevin Owens - one of the men he has been fighting side by side with in recent months against The Bloodline. 

During a promo segment between Rhodes & Owens, it was revealed that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and Cody Rhodes had been in discussions, and it was suggested that Owens should be Rhodes’ next challenger, something which Owens was hesitant about due to not earning the match and due to Rhodes being his friend. Rhodes claimed it was due to Owens always having his back and coming to his aid week after week against The Bloodline. Rhodes was more enthusiastic about this pitch than Owens, being the fighting champion that he is, and the match was made official by Aldis for the upcoming Bash In Berlin premium live event on August 31. 

This match joins Gunther vs. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship as the only two bouts currently announced for the WWE Bash In Berlin 2024 card.
