Daniel Cormier To Officiate Fight Pit Match At WWE Extreme Rules

UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier will serve as guest referee for the Fight Pit match at Extreme Rules on October 8, according to MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.
Helwani tweeted, "Breaking: Daniel Cormier will serve as guest referee for next Saturday’s Fight Pit Match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins at WWE’s Extreme Rules in Philly. Oct. 8. No, seriously. It’s really happening. Oct. 8. Incredible."
WWE followed up Helwani's tweet with, "Get all the details this Monday on #WWERaw
, 8/7c on @USA_Network!"
A noted wrestling fan, Cormier has held both UFC's Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight titles. At one juncture, there were apparent designs on a Cormier fight with Brock Lesnar, but it never materialized.
The current card for WWE Extreme Rules, taking place Saturday night, October 8 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, includes the following:
