EXCLUSIVE: Konosuke Takeshita Wants To Win The ROH World Title

Konosuke Takeshita wants a big win!

During his latest excursion in the United States, Konosuke Takeshita very much established himself as a rising star in the industry with impressive performances against the likes of Jon Moxley, Hangman Page, Eddie Kingston, Daniel Garcia, and Jonathan Gresham in AEW and on the independent wrestling scene.

Takeshita did not pick up many wins, though, with his most high-profile loss coming against Claudio Castagnoli in their ROH World Title match at Battle Of The Belts III on August 6. The 27-year-old is hoping to have better luck next time he faces The Swiss Cyborg and Takeshita told Cultaholic following PROGRESS Wrestling's show in Newcastle upon Tyne that he wants to win the ROH World Title.

"My best match was Claudio Castagnoli at Battle of the Belts III because it was a title match. I wanted to win before I went back to Japan. 'I am ROH World Champion!' Then I go back to Japan. I did my best. Next time I want to win. I want to win in AEW. Big match, big win!" Takeshita said.

If Castagnoli and Takeshita will have another match ultimately remains to be seen. Takeshita did reveal when he might be back in All Elite Wrestling, though, and you can find out more here
