First Round Of King & Queen Of The Ring Matches Announced
WWE have revealed the first rounds for the King & Queen Of The Ring
The 2024 King & Queen Of The Ring tournaments are beginning this week ahead of the namesake premium live event fast approaching on May 25, 2024 at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. At last night’s 2024 Backlash France event, the first rounds for the Monday Night RAW side of the bracket were announced, with the following matches taking place on the May 6 edition of the red brand. The matches are as follows.
King Of The Ring First Round (RAW):
- Drew McIntyre Vs. Finn Balor
- Kofi Kingston Vs. Rey Mysterio
- Ricochet Vs. Ilja Dragunov
- Gunther Vs. Sheamus
Queen Of The Ring First Round (RAW)
- Zoey Stark Vs. Ivy Nile
- Shayna Baszler Vs. Zelina Vega
- Lyra Valkyria Vs. Asuka
- Iyo Sky Vs. Natalya
The SmackDown brackets will be revealed on RAW, though the likes of Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight, and Santos Escobar have announced their participation for the King Of The Ring tournament ahead of time. This is the first time since 2021 that WWE have held these two tournaments, with the previous winners coming in the form of Xavier Woods and Zelina Vega.
