Further WWE NXT-TNA Crossover Teased Following Battleground

More WWE-TNA crossovers teased following Battleground

Further collaboration between TNA Wrestling and WWE NXT has been teased following the WWE brand's Battleground event on Sunday, June 9 from the UFC Apex.

The show featured TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace in the semi-main event as she unsuccessfully challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Title. Appearances by Tatum Paxley and TNA's Ash By Elegance worked against Grace as she took out the two women after Paxley tried to steal the TNA Knockouts World Championship. Grace then managed to hit a Death Valley Driver on Perez before the NXT Women's Champion countered a Grace Driver into a Cutter before she hit a Pop Rox for the win.

Further crossover was teased following the event as Gallus attacked Wes Lee backstage following the NXT North American Title match, with Zachary Wentz tweeting, "We’re only one call away."

Wentz was previously one-half of MSK in WWE NXT with Wes Lee before Wentz was fired in 2022. Wentz has since rejoined TNA and reformed The Rascalz with Trey Miguel. Wes Lee was a part of the TNA faction during his run with the company as Dezmond Xavier.

A WWE NXT appearance for ABC was also teased by Chris Bey as he responded to Nathan Frazer's tweet about the NXT Tag Team Champions' willingness to face any team at any time. Bey simply wrote: "I know some guys … @The_Ace_Austin."

TNA and WWE NXT have begun to work together on more of a permanent basis in recent weeks. There is reportedly interest within NXT over working with the likes of Josh Alexander and Leon Slater. There is expected to be a WWE presence at TNA Against All Odds and TNA Slammiversary.
