Goldberg Used To Poke Fun At Bret Hart On WWE Raw

Bret Hart's hatred of Goldberg was used against him during The Hitman's return to Monday Night Raw.

Hart appeared on Raw in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada but he was quickly interrupted by Gunther. The World Heavyweight Champion initially praised Bret Hart, saying the Excellence of Execution was one of his childhood heroes. Hart wasn't Gunther's favourite wrestler growing up, though, as that honour was reserved for none other than Goldberg.  

This brought out Sami Zayn in a Johnny Gaudreau jersey and he defended Hart before again challenging Gunther to a World Heavyweight Title match. Gunther then moved to leave but he was stopped by Hart, who called him a yellow, gutless coward. Gunther headed back to attack Hart but this only led to a brawl between the former WALTER and Sami Zayn.  

Hart appeared later on Raw, congratulating Natalya on her return to WWE. 

Bret Hart's hatred of Goldberg is one of life's inevitabilities and The Hitman hasn't been particularly fond of his fellow WWE Hall of Famer since Hart suffered a concussion following a stiff kick to the head from Goldberg at WCW Starrcade 1999. The move ultimately ended Hart's career and he went on to suffer post-concussion syndrome and several strokes. 

Hart has repeatedly taken shots at Goldberg ever since but Goldberg has fired back in recent years, including in 2024 when he told Hart to stop being such a prick.
