Humberto Carrillo Re-Signs With WWE

Humberto Carrillo remaining with WWE

Another talent has re-signed with WWE.

Fightful Select has reported that Humberto Carrillo (AKA Berto) signed a new deal with WWE earlier this Summer. The 28-year-old's deal was originally set to expire in August but the two parties recently agreed to terms on a new deal.

Carrillo ended up putting pen to paper on a new contract around the same time his cousin and tag team partner Angel Garza signed his own extension. The expectation, Fightful noted, is Carrillo and Garza will continue teaming together.

Berto and Angel, after initially feuding, started performing as a tag team in 2021 and they have since wrestled across the main roster and WWE NXT. They are currently a part of Legado Del Fantasma with Santos Escobar and Elektra Lopez.

Humberto Carrillo signed with WWE in 2018. In singles action, he has previously challenged for the United States Championship.

WWE have re-signed a number of talents over the past year, including Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Charlotte Flair, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins. The likes of Becky Lynch and Bobby Lashley, however, have exited WWE upon the end of their contracts.
