Injury Update On Rhea Ripley

Latest on Rhea Ripley’s injury status

After injuring her shoulder in early April, Rhea Ripley vacated the Women’s World Championship, with conservative estimates stating ‘Mami’ could miss three months of ring time.

Such estimates would see Ripley potentially returning to the ring in July, and a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has given an update on Ripley’s current status,

Ripley is believed to be rehabbing the injury in the hopes of avoiding surgery, and whilst WWE haven’t scheduled for The Judgment Day member to back for SummerSlam on August 3, if Ripley heals up ahead of schedule then WWE can course correct any storylines to facilitate a Ripley appearance if possible.

However, Metlzer does report that if rehab does not fix Ripley’s issues then she could still require surgery, which would obviously keep her out of the ring for longer than originally anticipated.

Ripley injured the shoulder in April 2024 after WrestleMania XL in what was described as a ‘freak accident’, damaging the AC joint connecting her collarbone and shoulder during a backstage segment on the April 8 episode of WWE Raw with Liv Morgan.
