Io Shirai Wants To Face Bayley At WWE WrestleMania

Night one of WrestleMania 37 is only one day away and some of WWE's top stars like Drew McIntyre, Sasha Banks and Seth Rollins will be in action across the two-night event. One star set to miss out, though, is Bayley and the former SmackDown Women's Champion currently isn't booked for the show. 

The Role Model will undoubtedly wrestle on the Grandest Stage Of Them All in the future, however, and Io Shirai told Sports Illustrated ahead of her NXT Women's Title match against Raquel Gonzalez that she would love to face Bayley on such a stage. The match could even sneak onto the WrestleMania 37 card as The Genius Of The Sky didn't rule out it being added to the show. 

"I would love to compete against Bayley. I have a great amount of respect for her. If we ever got the chance, I would like it to be on a huge stage like WrestleMania. As far as that happening at WrestleMania 37, I have not been told that yet - but never say never," Shirai said.

Bayley and Io Shirai have only had limited interactions on WWE TV so far, but The Role Model was ringside at NXT Great American Bash when Io went one on one with Sasha Banks.
