Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair Win WWE Women's Tag Team Titles At Backlash

Less than one year after she signed with the company and in only her sixth televised WWE match, Jade Cargill became a champion for the second time in her career at Backlash as she and Bianca Belair defeated the Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles. 

The finish saw Jade Cargill block a Splash from Kairi, spinning her around into Jaded. Bianca Belair, who was the legal woman, then followed up with a KOD to Asuka onto Sane before Bianca pinned Asuka for the win. 

The challengers’ win at Backlash ended the Kabuki Warriors' second reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions after 99 days. Asuka and Kairi Sane captured the belts back in January by defeating Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. 

The Kabuki Warriors recorded four successful title defences, first in a rematch with Katana Chance and Kayden Carter before they defeated Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell at Elimination Chamber. Wins over Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley at NXT Roadblock and Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark on Raw followed before the loss at Backlash.

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair began teaming together in the build to WrestleMania, picking up a win over the Kabuki Warriors at WrestleMania 40 in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match also including Naomi and Dakota Kai.
