Janel Grant Was Contacted To Interview For 'Mr. McMahon' Netflix Docuseries

Janel Grant was contacted for Netflix’s upcoming ‘Mr. McMahon’ docuseries

Netflix officially announced that their docuseries on former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is set to air from September 25, with the series set to be an in-depth look at McMahon before and after his WWE exit and around the lawsuit levelled at McMahon by former aide Janel Grant.

After the formal announcement of the series, it was revealed that Grant did not take part in the production of the six-part series in any fashion, but a new report from POST Wrestling states that Grant was indeed approached to participate.

A spokesperson for Grant sent the following statement to POST Wrestling:

“Netflix’s documentary group made initial outreach to Janel’s representation for an interview for this project. Despite this, no such interview came to fruition.”

Grant is suing McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE, with McMahon in particular being accused of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse. The lawsuit has been paused until December 11, 2024 following a request from the United States Department of Justice due to a federal investigation involving attorneys for the Southern District of New York into allegations of sexual misconduct and sex trafficking against McMahon dating back to 1986.
