Jim Ross Thinks Dustin Rhodes To WWE Is More Likely Than A Cody Rhodes AEW Return

JR doesn't foresee The American Nightmare returning to AEW

WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW announcer Jim Ross believes there's more chance of Dustin Rhodes returning to WWE for a one-off than Cody Rhodes coming back to AEW.

Discussing the possibility of a Rhodes brothers reunion on a new edition of his Grilling JR podcast, Ross said:

"It would be a long shot based on Dustin's age, and [for this scenario] he'll be moving companies. He'd have to be hired by WWE. As crazy as it sounds, Dustin getting hired for a one-off or a big match at a stadium show is more likely than Cody coming back to AEW. I might be wrong on that deal. I don't see that happening right away because Cody is on a rocket ship".

Ross also restated his belief that WWE made the right call by having Roman Reigns defeat Cody to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39.

With his AEW contract set to expire in June, Dustin Rhodes recently announced that 2023 would be his final year as an active wrestler.
