Jon Moxley Wants To Wrestle Minoru Suzuki

Only a Lunatic would want that...

The former Dean Ambrose is nothing if not ambitious, and since leaving WWE this past spring, the "Purveyor of Violence" has made his mark on both All Elite Wrestling and New Japan.

The reigning IWGP United States champion spoke with New Japan's official website, discussing many elements of his career, including his future plans. One of them involves wrestling one of the most fearsome individuals in the entire industry.

Very simply, Moxley said, “I want to test my potential by fighting Minoru Suzuki. I want to see what happens.”

The statement echoes words written three months ago by the 51-year-old Suzuki, who tweeted about his desire to wrestle not only Moxley, but Chris Jericho as well.

Moxley has not wrestled since August 16, when he faced Pentagon Jr at a Northeast Wrestling card in New York. The following week, he was pulled from a match against Kenny Omega at AEW All Out, due to a MRSA staph infection in his elbow.

Moxley is scheduled to resume with AEW when the TNT show begins in October. He is set to appear on the October 2 premiere episode, and will wrestle Shawn Spears the following week.
