JONAH Missed NJPW Royal Quest II Due To Travel Issues

JONAH was missing from NJPW’s recent UK Royal Quest II shows

New Japan Pro-Wrestling made their long-awaited UK return over the weekend, presenting Royal Quest II from Crystal Palace, London.

One NJPW star notable by their absence was JONAH, with the TMDK star taking to Twitter to explain his absence was due to Hurricane Ian:

"Sorry to all the fans attending. Everyone knows the UK is special for me and I love to wrestle there. It was out of my hands. Blame IAN! I was looking forward to stomping Mr potato head in front of you all! I'll make sure I'm back in LONDON soon enough! #TMDK"

JONAH was originally set to face apparent Mr. Potato Head lookalike Tomohiro Ishii on night two, and was set to team with Bad Dude Tito against Ishii and Kazuchika Okada on night one. NJPW replaced JONAH with Zak Knight for the tag match, whilst Ishii took on young lion Yota Tsuji in singles action on night two.

The former NXT North American Champion has had a strong first year in NJPW, with a win over Kazuchika Okada in the G1 Climax the highlight of his stint so far.
