Jonathan Gresham To Defend ROH Title Against AJ Gray In GCW
Gresham’s first defence has been confirmed
New Ring of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham has his first defence lined up, as Gresham is set to defend the ROH Title against AJ Gray at GCW Blood on the Hills.
The match will be contested under ‘pure wrestling rules’, something Gresham has long advocated for for the ROH World Title, having held the ROH Pure title for over 300 days in 2020/2021.
Gresham will not be the only ROH Champion in action at Blood on the Hills, as ROH World Tag Team Champions The Briscoes will put their GCW World Tag team Titles on the line against Brody King and PCO at the event.
Both The Briscoes and Brody King have been recently linked with AEW, with reports suggesting that King may have already signed with the promotion, whilst former ROH World Champion PCO pledged his immediate future to GCW.
GCW Blood on the Hills is live on FITE tonight, and takes place at Los Angeles’ Ukrainian Cultural Center. Other matches slated to take place include Atticus Cogar vs. Jordan Oliver in a no ropes barbed wire match, Matt Cardona & Chelsea Green vs. Effy & Allie Katch, and Blake Christian vs. Alex Zayne, amongst others.
