Kenny Omega Promises To Be Stronger For Second AEW Match

Kenny Omega returned to AEW after nine months away

Kenny Omega finally made his AEW in-ring return after nine months on the shelf, teaming with The Young Bucks in victory against La Faccion Ingobernable on the August 17 edition of AEW: Dynamite.

Omega wrestled in a shoulder harness and protective tee as he continues to rehab following several surgeries, and afterwards took to Twitter to promise he’ll be even better in the next round of the AEW Trios Title Tournament:

“The pieces aren’t all there yet but I refuse to burden the Bucks with my limitations. We have a real chance at this. I’ll be even stronger in round 2. I’ll surpass where I was at. I’ll surpass everyone,” Tweeted Omega.

Wednesday was Omega’s first match since dropping the AEW World Championship to Adam Page at Full Gear 2021 last November, with ‘The Cleaner’ having to take time away from in-ring competition to fix several nagging injuries, whilst also seeking treatment for vertigo.

Omega recently admitted that he’d never be 100% again, with several years on top in NJPW and AEW working a highly intense and physically demanding style having clearly taken their toll.
