Kevin Owens' WWE Deal Expiring In Less Than 6 Months

Less than six months left on Kevin Owens’ current WWE deal

Kevin Owens’ current WWE deal is nearing expiration, with it revealed that Owens’ deal is set to expire within six months.

Owens announced in May 2024 that his deal was nearing its conclusion, and during a recent conversation with Sports Illustrated Owens added that nothing has changed with regards to his status, only that his deal has less time on it than before.

The former WWE Universal Champion signed a lucrative three-year deal in late 2021, with WWE fending off interest from All Elite Wrestling in order to retain Owens’ services. Owens noted at the time that this new deal expires on January 31 ‘but not 2022’.

Since re-signing with WWE, Owens has main evented WrestleMania, and has won several championships cementing him as a Grand Slam Champion within the organisation.

In recent years, WWE have allowed talent contracts to near their point of expiration before renegotiating with talent, with the likes of Cody Rhodes, Charlotte Flair, and Drew McIntyre amongst others having signed new contracts after WWE let their deals near their end. It remains to be seen if Owens will do the same, or if Kevin Steen will return to the wrestling world.
