Time Cut From AEW All In Title Match

AEW All In title match lost time

One of the more unusual matches at All Elite Wrestling's All In pay-per-view was the semi-main event of Jack Perry vs. Darby Allin in a Coffin Match. Although it was Darby's signature match, he was very much squashed by the TNT Champion as Perry largely beat him down around Wembley Stadium before tying Darby's hands and feet together, putting him in a body bag, and placing him in the coffin for the win.

Many fans inside Wembley Stadium expected the match to run longer and were surprised by the decisiveness of Perry's victory. Bryan Alvarez has since noted on Wrestling Observer Radio the semi-main event was originally planned to have more time dedicated to it but there were several minutes cut due to the 10 pm BST curfew.

"Well, part of the problem with that match is they got several minutes cut off the match because, you know, as noted, the show had to be over by 10 [pm]. And so they went out there, and I'm actually flabbergasted it went 10 minutes because it felt like five. They came out, and they were doing glass spots immediately," Alvarez said.

The match did include a post-match angle as Sting made his first AEW appearance since his retirement and stopped The Young Bucks and Jack Perry from setting Darby Allin on fire.
