Konosuke Takeshita Reveals AEW Return Date

Konosuke Takeshita is coming back to AEW!

A popular star is set to return to All Elite Wrestling soon.

Konosuke Takeshita previously revealed to Cultaholic Wrestling that he hoped to come back to AEW in October and now the international star has confirmed he will be heading back to the United States next month.

Takeshita revealed when he would be returning to AEW during the press conference for his upcoming KO-D Openweight Championship match against Kazusada Higuchi. That match will take place on September 25.

DDT Pro-Wrestling's Twitter account wrote: "Take: I feel like this might be the last match before I go back there in Oct. Feels like the start of a new era in DDT. But I think Higuchi v Takeshita will bring about a new era in JP Wrestling. I'll bring this title back to AEW."

Takeshita had a rapid rise in popularity during his second AEW excursion with high-profile matches against the likes of Jon Moxley, Hangman Page, Eddie Kingston, and Claudio Castagnoli. His excursion ended on August 10 and after a brief stop in the UK for PROGRESS Wrestling, he headed back to Japan to compete for DDT.
