Lita Scheduled To Appear On WWE SmackDown

Her first appearance on the show in two decades

WWE is advertising an appearance from Lita for tonight's WWE SmackDown in Omaha.

Though it's not clear what Lita will be doing on the broadcast, WWE notes that it will be her first appearance on SmackDown in nearly 20 years. Her last ever SmackDown match took place in March of 2002, teaming with Trish Stratus to defeat Jazz and Ivory.

Lita is one of 19 names that have been announced for the 2022 women's Royal Rumble match. She is one of seven outside entries set for the match, along with The Bella Twins, Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly, Summer Rae, and Impact Knockouts champion Mickie James.

Two other women's Rumble entrants are scheduled for singles action on Friday's card, as Natalya goes one on one with Aliyah. It marks Aliyah's first match in nearly two months, as well as her first ever singles match on SmackDown.

Also set for tonight's broadcast are a confrontation between Universal champion Roman Reigns and Royal Rumble opponent Seth Rollins, as well as Sami Zayn performing some sort of stunt to try and outdo Rumble entrant Johnny Knoxville.
