Major Update On The Rock's Status For WWE Bad Blood

The rumour mill has swirled about The Rock's status for WWE Bad Blood for the past 24 hours after it emerged that Dwayne Johnson was in Georgia, attending the football game for the Apalachee High School Wildcats. The high school is only 80 minutes from Atlanta's State Farm Arena - the venue of WWE Bad Blood.

Original plans for WWE Bad Blood called for the Hell in a Cell Match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre to go on last but plans were ultimately switched to Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu main eventing the pay-per-view/premium live event. 

Fightful Select noted there were circumstances around why the tag team match was selected for the main event. Most of the talent set to be at Bad Blood believe The Rock will be at the show. WWE also don't hide when The Rock is nearby as the possibility of him working a show generates viewers. 

The Rock has been more involved with WWE in 2024, having been added to the TKO Board of Directors in January. The plan as of earlier this year for the main event of WrestleMania 41 was Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock.
