Matt Cardona Teases WWE Return

Matt Cardona has teased a potential return to WWE with an ambiguous social media post.

Cardona - FKA Zack Ryder - responded to a fan on Twitter who asked him what championship he would like to win before retiring. The former Intercontinental Champion replied with four pictures of him holding the WWE IC, United States, Tag Team and Raw Tag Team titles along with the words 'just one more'. 

Cardona has never won a world title in WWE.

Since his 2020 release from the company, he has bagged gold in various promotions, including the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title (which he was forced to vacate due to injury). 

Last week it was reported that Cardona could return to WWE in a 'two for one' deal with wife Chelsea Green, who it is also speculated could be on her way back in. Cardona has previously stated that he would be open to a return to the company, but only as Matt Cardona and not under former guise Zack Ryder.

The Internet Champion recently responded to the rumours of a WWE return, noting that he had unfinished business in the company before saying 'never say never'.
