Matt Cardona Addresses Rumours Of WWE Return

Could Matt Cardona also be WWE-bound?

Matt Cardona has commented on a potential WWE return.

Speculation has suggested Cardona could go back to the company in recent weeks, with his wife Chelsea Green said to be WWE-bound, and a recent report noted the former GCW World Heavyweight Champion could return to WWE in a two-for-one deal with Green.

Cardona addressed rumours of his return while speaking to WrestlingNews.co, stating:

"No. (He would not answer that). I'm the Internet Champion. Of course, I see what's being talked about. Let the people talk. I'm a former tag team champion, former Intercontinental Champion, former United States champion. I do have some unfinished business. To quote Justin Bieber, never say never."

Cardona spent 15 years in WWE from 2005 until his release in 2020. The 37-year-old has established himself as one of the top stars outside of WWE since then with memorable matches in GCW, IMPACT Wrestling, and the National Wrestling Alliance. Along with his world title reign in GCW, Cardona is a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, and IMPACT Digital Media Champion.

If Cardona were to return to WWE, he revealed he wouldn't go back as Zack Ryder.
