Multiple Surprise Main Roster Appearances On WWE NXT
There was plenty of main roster involvement during last night's episode of NXT
Kevin Owens wasn't the only main roster star making their way back to NXT for last night's show.
Former two-time NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura also showed up as the surprise opponent for Stacks (as revealed by Tony D'Angelo).
Nakamura and Stacks had a competitive match before Shinsuke picked up the win with the Kinshasa. The announcers speculated that Stacks' position in D'Angelo's 'family' had risen, despite losing the match.
Nakamura usually performs as a member of the SmackDown roster, but hasn't been seen on television lately. His last blue brand appearance was a victory over Baron Corbin on the September 2 episode of the show.
Another former NXT star returning to the show was Raw's Austin Theory.
Theory showed up at the very end of the show and teased the prospect of cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase at this weekend's Halloween Havoc.
He appeared as Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov and JD McDonagh brawled following their interaction on the KO Show. The show went off the air with Theory holding his briefcase in the air as the announcers considered the possibility of him cashing in on October 22.
