Mya Lesnar Details Support From Brock Lesnar, Being In His Shadow

Mya Lesnar is blazing her own trail in another sport.

While WWE star Brock Lesnar is currently on hiatus, his daughter Mya is making waves in another field, where she has already broken some school records.

The 22-year-old won the NCAA indoor shotput championship in March, becoming the first female to do so for Colorado State University. She is one of a trio of throwers attending Olympic Track & Field trials for SCU, with the qualification round for women's shotput set to take place on June 28.

Speaking with 9NEWS Sports Denver, Mya recently opened up about her relationship with her famous father.

"It's really not about my dad. He is one of my biggest supporters, but honestly at the end of the day I am here to make a name for myself," she said.

Continuing, Mya noted that while Brock Lesnar may be viewed as a superstar to many, to her he is simply her father, saying:

"I think I've been in his shadow for so many years, which is cool, I guess, but honestly to me at the end of the day, what I want people to know is he's 'dad' to me, and I honestly don't look at him as this superstar of a person. Him just being in my corner and now me being in the spotlight, and him in my shadow a little bit watching me, I think that's super cool".

In April, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque confirmed that Brock is still in WWE. However, he will need to be cleared by the company's legal department before making any return.

The Beast Incarnate last wrestled at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes.
