NWA Powerrr To Air On X After Leaving The CW App

X to host NWA Powerrr after CW app exit

NWA Powerrr recently left The CW app due to the incoming arrival of WWE NXT to the network, but the historic promotion has found a new temporary home, with upcoming episodes of Powerrr set to air on X/Twitter.

The announcement was made on X, with it revealed that the social media site will be the home of NWA’s weekly show through October 29, with episodes to air at 6:05 PM Eastern Time (11:05 pm BST) starting on October 1.

“We wanted to reward all of our loyal fans domestically and around the globe by allowing them to see our spectacular anniversary show,” the NWA’s Joe Galli said. “Especially to those fans who may have been missing out on NWA Powerrr over the past few months.”

NWA President Billy Corgan revealed in May 2024 that he had agreed on a new TV deal for the NWA, although Corgan and the NWA are yet to publicly reveal where the broadcast future of the promotion lies.

The CW and the NWA began working together in early 2024, with Powerrr airing on The CW app since February. The two sides originally began discussions about a deal in late 2023, with the controversial actions of NWA Samhain looking to have threatened any chances of a deal.

WWE NXT will begin airing on The CW from tonight - October 1, 2024.
