It appears there won't be two pro wrestling promotions airing on The CW.

The CW app currently notes that episodes of NWA Powerrr will be leaving the platform in six days. Unless there is a change, all episodes of NWA Powerrr on the service will be gone from The CW app by the end of Monday, September 30.

NWA Powerrr's exit from The CW app coincides with WWE NXT's premiere on The CW on Tuesday, October 1, with WWE and The CW agreeing to a five-year deal worth $20-25 million per year to bring NXT to the channel. WWE are reportedly aiming to average over one million viewers for the premiere on The CW.

It emerged in late 2023 that the National Wrestling Alliance were in talks with The CW, with reports noting that a deal had been agreed for NWA Powerrr to air on TV, only for those plans to be scrapped because of a cocaine spot involving Father James Mitchell at Samhain. Billy Corgan has denied that was the case, however, and claimed The CW's deal with WWE NXT led to NWA content airing on The CW app instead of TV.

NWA Powerrr has been available on The CW app since February 2024. Next week's episode of Powerrr will focus on the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title match between EC3 and Thom Latimer from NWA 76, although it is unknown where the show will air.
