Report: CM Punk 'Hurt' During AEW All Out Main Event

CM Punk hurt during the AEW All Out main event

Following rumours circulating over the past two days, a report from Fightful Select has noted that CM Punk was "hurt" ahead of his backstage fight with The Elite after Sunday's All Out pay-per-view.

Rumours suggested that CM Punk has injured his triceps during the altercation but those close to Punk noted to Fightful that he sustained the injury on a dive during his AEW World Title match against Jon Moxley. The severity of the injury is unknown beyond that Punk was hurt before the backstage fight.

The AEW World Champion could be seen icing his arm during his inflammatory All Out press conference, during which he took shots at the AEW EVPs, Hangman Page, and Colt Cabana. This prompted The Elite to confront Punk after the scrum and a fight broke out also involving Ace Steel that saw the AEW producer bite Kenny Omega and throw a chair which left Nick Jackson with a black eye.

AEW have since handed out suspensions as a result of the altercation, although it is unknown who exactly has been suspended. The Elite and CM Punk are not expected to be at tonight's episode of Dynamite.
