Report: Current ROH Champion Is A Free Agent

An ROH champ isn't under contract

Ring Of Honor could see one of their current champions poached by another promotion.

Dalton Castle is currently one-third of the ROH World Six-Man Champions with The Boys but PWInsider reported that Castle isn't actually under contract with AEW/ROH. Instead, the former ROH World Champion is "100% a free agent."

Other ROH stars are currently under deals. Why the promotion have not signed Castle is unknown.

Castle has remained a key part of Ring Of Honor since Tony Khan purchased the promotion in March. He defeated Joe Hendry at Supercard Of Honor before he unsuccessfully challenged Jonathan Gresham for the ROH World Championship at AEW Battle Of The Belts II. Then at July's Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view, Castle and The Boys defeated The Righteous to capture the ROH World Six-Man Titles.

Outside of his AEW/ROH appearances, Castle has continued to work on the independents, most recently competing for Absolute Intense Wrestling on August 20.

ROH's long-term future remains unclear as Tony Khan has yet to secure a TV deal.
