Report: Former AEW Talent Signs With Power Slap

Paige VanZant heading to Power Slap

A former All Elite Wrestling star will seemingly be slapping people and getting slapped for a living.

According to Amy Kaplan of FanSided MMA and James Lynch, Paige VanZant has signed with Power Slam and the deal will be announced in the near future.

Kaplan tweeted: "@LynchOnSports reported that he'd heard a rumor that Paige VanZant had signed with Power Slap. I have also heard those rumors from numerous people. Announcement is expected soon I'm hearing."

Power Slap is the slap fighting company owned by UFC CEO Dana White. The company initially aired on TBS but live events and the Road to the Title series now air on Rumble. While she doesn't have experience in slap fighting, Paige VanZant is a former MMA fighter and she recently had her first celebrity boxing match, with her Misfits Boxing match in May against OnlyFans model Elle Brooke ending in a split draw.

VanZant previously appeared in All Elite Wrestling from September 2021 until May 2022, having her first and only match at Double or Nothing where she teamed with Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky against Tay Melo, Sammy Guevara, and Frankie Kazarian. VanZant signed a contract with AEW but she is no longer a part of the promotion after deciding she didn't want to be a pro wrestler.
