Report: Original Plans For Becky Lynch After WWE WrestleMania 36 Revealed

Some big-time feuds were coming up...

On this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch relinquished the Raw Women's Championship to Asuka and announced she was pregnant. Her reign ended after 398 days.

It is not currently known if Lynch will return to WWE as an in-ring competitor but Dave Meltzer revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the company had big plans for her after WrestleMania 36.

On the Raw after 'Mania, The Man cut a promo on Shayna Baszler which hinted her rivalry with The Queen Of Spades would be continuing into the Summer. This was indeed WWE's plan as Lynch was originally booked to face Nia Jax at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view and retain her title, while Baszler was scheduled to win the Women's Money In The Bank Ladder match on the same night and then be positioned as Lynch's main rival as the wrestling behemoth built towards SummerSlam.

These plans were, of course, scrapped after Lynch told WWE about her pregnancy and Asuka won the Money In The Bank briefcase on May 10 instead.
