Report: Several AEW Wrestlers View WWE As An Option Following Vince McMahon's Retirement

Could more AEW talent jump to WWE?

Several All Elite Wrestling talents reacted positively to the news of Vince McMahon's retirement, according to Wade Keller of PWTorch

McMahon announced his retirement as WWE CEO and Chairman on Friday and the 76-year-old has stepped away from his role in WWE creative. He remains WWE's majority shareholder, however.

In an update after McMahon's announcement, Keller revealed AEW talents that have their deals expiring in 2022 or are unhappy with Tony Khan's booking view Vince's exit from WWE as a positive development. Wrestlers who didn't think WWE was an option for them also now view things differently following McMahon's exit, especially with Stephanie McMahon now a Co-CEO alongside Nick Khan and Triple H having been appointed the new head of WWE creative.

If WWE's hiring practices will change in the near future ultimately remains to be seen, however, especially since reports have noted major changes are not expected immediately as the company wants to project stability to Wall Street and shareholders. At the time of writing, WWE's share price is up six percent in premarket trading.
