Report: Update On Eric Young's IMPACT Wrestling Status

Eric Young isn't leaving IMPACT in 2022

Eric Young has been with IMPACT Wrestling for the past couple of years and he won't be leaving this year.

Young resurfaced in IMPACT Wrestling during the summer of 2020, shortly after his WWE release. At the time of his return, it was noted that Young had signed a multi-year deal with the promotion. Fightful Select have reported that Young's deal did not expire this summer or after Bound For Glory, though. His contract was instead extended at least through the end of 2022, keeping him with IMPACT.

Since his return, EY has become a two-time IMPACT World Champion, having regained the gold from Eddie Edwards in September 2020. He held the title until Bound For Glory 2020 where he dropped it to Rich Swann. Young has also formed his own faction, Violent By Design, with Joe Doering and Deaner and they have had multiple reigns as IMPACT World Tag Team Champions.

Fightful also noted that Crazzy Steve signed a multi-year deal with IMPACT in 2020 and his deal is also not up in 2022. Steve has worked with IMPACT on and off since 2014.
