Report: Update On Tony D'Angelo's Injury

Tony D'Angelo might not be out of action

Tony D'Angelo appeared to suffer on Saturday at NXT's house show in Largo, Florida.

The Don of NXT was in action against Cameron Grimes at the event but the match was stopped after D'Angelo looked to have suffered an injury to his arm or shoulder.

In an update, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported D'Angelo's injury was either not serious or a part of a storyline. Some in WWE were downplaying any possible issue while others stated any problem was a storyline at the event.

D'Angelo has been a featured performer in WWE NXT since October of 2021 and he has picked up high-profile wins over the likes of Pete Dunne and Tommaso Ciampa. He was recently in action at NXT In Your House when the D'Angelo Family defeated Legado Del Fantasma. Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde had to join D'Angelo's faction as a result.

The D'Angelo Family have since lost a member, though, following Troy 'Two Dimes' Donovan's WWE release. The NXT talent was reportedly let go because of a policy issue and he might be brought back next year.
