Report: Women's Tag Team Title Match Still Planned For WWE WrestleMania 39

Some talents will be pulling double duty at WWE WrestleMania 39

A Women's Tag Team Title match is still planned for WrestleMania 39 despite Becky Lynch and Lita's involvement in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match with Trish Stratus against Damage CTRL, Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio

"They still have a tag title match, there's gonna be two matches coming out of this programme. Whoever are the champions will wrestle Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, but they're also doing the six-woman. I don't know if Kai and Sky are gonna win the belts back or if it's gonna be Lita and Becky Lynch. But Rousey and Baszler are still getting the tag team title shot as has been planned all along. And likely winning them, unless Rousey's injury doesn't heal, which they are right now of the impression that she's not gonna be 100% healed, but the impression is that she will be ready to do the match," Meltzer said.

It was announced on the March 6 episode of Raw that Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus will take on Damage CTRL's Bayley, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai at WrestleMania 39. Lita and Becky Lynch defeated SKY and Kai for the Women's Tag Team Championships on last week's Raw following the return of Stratus.

With WrestleMania taking place over two nights, the six-woman tag team match will likely take place on one night while the title match will be scheduled to take place on the other night.

Ahead of Mania, 'twists and turns' are reportedly planned for the Women's Tag Team Title picture. Find out more here.
