Report: WWE Bringing In Shane McMahon For WrestleMania Weekend

Is Shane McMahon coming back to WWE TV?

Is Shane McMahon set for a sensational return to WWE?

The 52-year-old has been "out" of WWE since early February following the events of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, but Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that the company are bringing in Shane for WrestleMania 38 weekend.

If McMahon will appear at 'Mania has not been confirmed but he will be in Texas for the entirety of the weekend.

Shane garnered considerable heat at the Royal Rumble due to his role in producing the Men's Royal Rumble Match, with reports noting that McMahon was confrontational backstage and was preoccupied with wanting to book himself into a prime spot in the match. His ideas were shot down by Vince McMahon, though, which left Shane visibly frustrated and his unhappiness was only added to by disagreements over the Rumble with Brock Lesnar.

All of this resulted in Shane telling talent one thing, only for wrestlers to be told another thing by Vince McMahon which led to confusion during the Men's Rumble and contributed to the match being one of the most poorly received Rumbles in the pay-per-view's history.

Shane and Vince McMahon also reportedly had issues for a while which also contributed to McMahon being gone from WWE shortly after the Rumble.

Plans were originally in place for Shane to be in the Elimination Chamber match ahead of facing Seth Rollins and then Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 38 but all of those plans were scrapped.
