Report: WWE Makes Change To Promos & Matches

More changes to WWE TV

Major changes have taken place within WWE in recent weeks and those changes extend to WWE TV.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, a big change that has been made in the past several weeks is the company have allowed talent greater freedom during promos and wrestlers are able to improvise more. Greater improvisation is also now allowed during matches and at least a sizable amount of the Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Match between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus on SmackDown was called in the ring.

Overly scripted promos had been a common complaint from fans and some talent in recent years during Vince McMahon's time in charge of WWE creative.

Vince McMahon retired from WWE on July 22 amidst sexual misconduct and hush money allegations. Triple H has since been installed as the new head of creative and The Game has already added some of his own ideas to WWE TV, notably Becky Lynch's babyface turn and the new faction of Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY that debuted at SummerSlam on July 30.
