Report: WWE Planning To Give Younger Talent More TV Time On NXT

As part of the upcoming changes to NXT, WWE are planning to give younger talent more TV time on the Tuesday night series. 

A power struggle within WWE reportedly broke out following the end of the Wednesday Night Wars and 12 NXT Superstars were released on August 6 following talks between Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and Bruce Prichard. Triple H, the head of NXT, wasn't even informed about the cuts until they were underway.

The cuts were the first step in changes to NXT and WWE is planning to use NXT as a development brand once again with an emphasis on younger and bigger wrestlers. The company is also planning to revamp the brand with a new logo, lighting and format. 

NXT has been centred around smaller, more experienced talent like Johnny Gargano in recent years but, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, veterans will have their TV time cut in favour of "wrestling students and prospects." Furthermore, WWE will not attempt to make NXT the best wrestling show it can possibly be any longer and Tuesday nights will purely be dedicated to development. 

When exactly WWE will introduce the changes remains to be seen, but the company will reportedly revamp the Performance Center in September to make the show less dark going forward.
