Report: WWE Redesigned Another Title Back In 2019

A new United States Championship was unveiled on Monday...

On this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, Bobby Lashley and MVP unveiled the new United States Championship in the absence of champion Apollo Crews. The Franchise Playa and Crews will now go one on one at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules for the redesigned title.

Monday marked the third time WWE has changed a championship since November 2019 as the Universal Championship received a blue background after it's move to Friday Night SmackDown and a new Intercontinental Title was presented to Shinsuke Nakamura soon after.

The "Human Belt Encyclopedia" @BeltFanDan revealed last night that WWE redesigned another title in 2019 but has chosen not to unveil it. He noted the company had new SmackDown Tag Team Championships delivered to them ahead of WrestleMania 35, but the wrestling behemoth has decided not to use them for some reason.

@BeltFanDan wrote: "They've had new SD tags since WM35 they haven't used."

The company is expected to debut a larger NXT Championship down the line, however, and WWE is reportedly just waiting for the replicas to be finished before presenting the new belt to the champion.
