Report: WWE Sign Ex-NJPW Wrestler

WWE have acquired a *big* name from NJPW

WWE has not been slowing down in 2024 when it comes to making acquisitions, signing big names such as Jacob Fatu, Stephanie Vaquer, Ethan Page, and others, and they have now reportedly made their next signing.

Former IWGP & Strong Openweight Tag Team Champion Hikuleo has agreed a deal with WWE and has now officially joined the company, per a report from Fightful Select.

After his deal supposedly expired in June, Hikuleo became a free agent and has since been expected to join WWE. His fellow family members Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa recently joined WWE, becoming members of The Bloodline faction under the new leadership of Solo Sikoa, and it was speculated amongst fans that it would only be a matter of time before Hikuleo joined the party too.

Back in June, WWE trademarked the name “Talla Tonga”, leading many to assume that this would be the name for the incoming Hikuleo, though that remains to be seen. He spent eight years with NJPW between 2016 and 2024, also becoming the Strong Openweight Champion along with his tag title victories.
