AEW & WBD Seemingly Agree To New TV Deal

AEW and WBD may have finally put pen to paper for a new deal

After months or speculation, reports, supposedly imminent announcements and more, it looks as though AEW’s new deal with WBD has finally been agreed to - though there has been no official announcement as of yet.

It was revealed by journalist B.J. Bethal on X that an agreement in principle has been made between the two sides with WBD’s exclusive negotiation window coming to an end soon.

“Sources: AEW has an agreement in principle with WBD for a new TV deal. WBD's exclusive negotiation window was set to expire this coming weekend. No word on when it will be official.”

Speculation arose yesterday when AEW content began showing up on the MAX streaming service internationally. AEW shows and PPVs were spotted by MAX users, with several screenshots posted to social media, leading to the belief that this meant a deal had been finally made. Tony Khan and AEW has been involved in negotiations in recent weeks, with Khan stating publicly how great it would be for AEW to agree to a new deal with WBD, whilst also offering compliments to the likes of WBD’s David Zaslov.
