Shane Helms Hasn't Heard Anything Bad About CM Punk Since His WWE Return

CM Punk hasn't caused any issues since returning to WWE in November 2023, according to WWE Producer Shane Helms (FKA The Hurricane). 

After being asked on Behind the Turnbuckle which WWE return between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes was more surprising, Helms said: 

"Punk was definitely the bigger shock, for sure. I didn't think he was ever going to come back just because of the bad blood with past administrations and some of the stuff that was said online while he was gone. You also have to realise that we all say stupid stuff and get some anger. Maybe we were feeling that way at that time. There is definitely stuff I have said in the past and people are like, 'Did you mean it?' At the time, I did. I might not feel that way now, but that's how you grow as a person. In terms of Phil backstage, he's been a pleasure since he's been back. I didn't have problems with him to begin with, so I'm not surprised he's been a pleasure with me, but I haven't heard anything bad, either."

CM Punk is currently on the shelf, having sustained a torn triceps at the 2024 Royal Rumble following a Futureshock DDT from Drew McIntyre. Punk has remained present on WWE programming and he hosted the Backlash pre-show with Big E and Jackie Redmond on Saturday, May 4. 

In late April, Punk stated he will be back in the ring "soon." 

CM Punk was involved in multiple infamous backstage incidents during his two-year stint with All Elite Wrestling. He was ultimately fired in September 2023 following a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In.
