The Rock Reveals Roman Reigns Knocked Out Cameraman While Filming Hobbs & Shaw

Oops...

Hobbs & Shaw, the tenth film in The Fast and The Furious franchise, hits theaters this Friday, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson reprising his titular role of federal agent Luke Hobbs. Roman Reigns has a part in the movie, playing Luke's brother Mateo, which was filmed during Reigns' absence while recovering from leukemia.

In the run-up to the film's release, Johnston posted an Instagram video, sharing a story of how Reigns inadvertently facilitated an on-set accident that may have been funny in hindsight, but perhaps not so much in the immediate aftermath.

Johnson's lively rendition of the story is backed up by actual video of the accident. He and Reigns wielded clubs during the particular scene, and they were supposed to make like they were throwing them. While Johnson only feigned throwing his, Reigns let his go flying, and it struck lead cameraman Lukasz Bielan in the head, temporarily taking him out.

Bielan ended up being okay, and Reigns, after apologizing profusely, noted he and Bielan "hugged it out" afterward.

Johnson wrote, "This will always be one of the funniest f*cking things I’ve ever seen."
