Tony Khan: AEW's Loaded Roster Is A Good Problem For Me To Have

Can Khan keep the roster happy?

Before the summer of 2021, All Elite Wrestling already had a roster brimming with talent, with the likes of The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, MJF, Chris Jericho, Jurassic Express, Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Lance Archer, PAC and "Hangman" Adam Page all regularly appearing on AEW Dynamite, and that's without mentioning any of the stars in the women's division.

AEW have since added more star power to their ranks and Malakai Black, Andrade El Idolo, Adam Cole, Ruby Soho, Bryan Danielson and CM Punk have made their debuts in recent months.

Trying to keep such a large roster happy would give some bookers a headache but AEW President Tony Khan told the Associated Press it is a good problem for him to have.

"I think that's a good problem for any organisation to have when you have a deep bench. We have a very deep bench right now. I try to rotate who wrestles on television and give TV time to different wrestlers so we have a lot of people with momentum and can switch out the matches and keep things fresh. I think that serves you well in sports, too, when you can rotate and rest people and give experience to young talent and develop people and also rest your veterans so they don't have to go out and do it every single week," Khan said.

With the additions to the roster and strong ratings, AEW are riding a wave of momentum at the moment and the promotion held their biggest Dynamite show so far on September 22. Check out the full results from Arthur Ashe Stadium here.
