Update On Sammy Guevara After Being Stretchered Out Of ROH TV Taping

Latest on Sammy Guevara following the scary incident at ROH TV tapings

A scary moment occurred at Wednesday night's tapings of ROH TV as Sammy Guevara appeared to be knocked out during his match with Serpentico.

Guevara allegedly suffered the injury when he went for a cutter to counter a top rope move from Serpentico. The spot was mistimed, however, and Serpentico landed on Guevara's face. The match was quickly stopped, with Serpentico being awarded the victory.

After receiving medical attention, Guevara was stretchered to the back. While not confirmed, it is believed that Guevara sustained a concussion.

Wade Keller of PWTorch noted that AEW wrestlers and management were seriously concerned about Guevara's well-being following the incident. After receiving medical attention backstage, Guevara was seen walking around on his own and it wouldn't have been obvious that he had been stretchered out of the arena earlier in the evening.

Guevara is one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions with Dustin Rhodes, having returned to AEW/ROH in the Summer

Guevara's injury wasn't the only serious incident on the ROH TV tapings. Kelly Madan faced Lady Frost at the tapings and PWInsider noted Madan was knocked out following Lady Frost's finisher from the top rope when Frost's legs landed on Madan's head or neck. The lights in the arena were darkened while AEW medical checked on Madan and she was later stretchered out of the ring.
