Vicki Askew, Mother Of Vince McMahon, Passes Away At 101

Ms. Askew passed away a little over a week ago

Vicki Askew, the mother of principal WWE owner and chairman Vince McMahon, passed away last Thursday at 101 years old.

Askew's obituary reads, in part, "Vicki, as she was known to friends and family, passed away quietly of natural causes in her sleep at home in The Woodlands, TX ... She was a young 101 years old, and is survived by one son, four grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren."

Services were held on Saturday, January 22, with a private burial at a later date. Askew's death came one year to day after the death of Rod McMahon, her son and Vince's brother.

Askew would have turned 102 on July 11.

Askew was a noted tennis player, reportedly playing up until age 94. The Ebensburg Tennis Center in Pennsylvania was dedicated to her after Vince and the McMahon Family Foundation donated $2.5 million to build the center.

In her life, Askew worked as a secretary and administrative assistant for the Chamber of Commerce in Pembroke Pines, FL.

Cultaholic offers its condolences to the Askew and McMahon families.
