WWE File To Trademark 'WWE King And Queen Of The Ring'

WWE King of the Ring coming back?

In a further sign that the King of the Ring tournament will be returning alongside the first-ever Queen of the Ring, WWE filed to trademark 'WWE King and Queen of the Ring' with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on December 8. The term will be used for a professional wrestling show. 

The full filing is as follows:

"IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information." 

WWE held the King of the Ring and Queen's Crown tournaments in 2021, with Xavier Woods and Zelina Vega winning their respective competitions at Crown Jewel. Recent reports have noted that King of the Ring could return as a pay-per-view in 2023 for the first time in 21 years.
