WWE Hoping To Bring In Younger Fans With NXT Move To The CW

WWE looking to attract younger fans with NXT on The CW

WWE are hoping NXT can bring in younger fans when the show moves to The CW later this year.

WWE NXT will begin airing on The CW from Tuesday, October 1 and WWE has big plans for the first couple of episodes on the network. The premiere on The CW will air from Chicago's Allstate Arena with CM Punk planned for the show, while Randy Orton is expected to appear on the second episode on October 8 from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

PWInsider has provided an update on WWE's plans for NXT, noting there has been talk within the company of holding shows outside of the Performance Center more often than is currently the case, with the idea it will help raise NXT's prestige once the show moves to broadcast TV. The hope is NXT will be a jumping-on point for younger audiences who will then discover WWE's wider programming.

WWE plans for NXT on The CW will also see WWE feature more main roster talents as guest stars and potential regulars to strengthen NXT even further.

Although WWE NXT may air outside of the Performance Center more than has been the case in the past, the Performance Center will reportedly very much remain the home of NXT
