WWE NXT Talent Potentially Being Brought Back To The Main Roster

A WWE NXT talent could be going to the main roster

Baron Corbin could be on his way back to the WWE main roster, according to a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite.

Johnson states that Corbin is expected to be at the upcoming Draft editions of WWE SmackDown and Raw. While this isn’t necessarily confirmation of a move from NXT back to the main roster, it does leave the door open for such a possibility - particularly with Corbin’s NXT tag team partner Bron Breakker having already been called up to SmackDown.

Corbin has been a part of NXT for almost a year, returning to the brand where he enjoyed the beginning of his WWE career between 2012 and 2016. Earlier this year he and Bron Breakker won the Dusty Rhodes Classic tag team tournament, and at Vengeance Day on February 4th defeated Tony D’Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo to become NXT Tag Team Champions.

The pair dropped the belts to Nathan Frazer and Axiom on a recent weekly episode of NXT, theoretically severing Corbin's remaining ties with the brand and allowing a jump to Raw or SmackDown.

In terms of main roster success, Corbin is a former WWE United States Champion, King of the Ring winner, and Money in the Bank briefcase-holder (although his eventual cash-in attempt was unsuccessful.) He also won the 2016 edition of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Corbin recently signed a new deal with WWE.
