WWE Superstar Paige Says She Is Now Single

It looks as though Paige and Alberto's relationship could be over.

Sidelined WWE superstar Paige seems to have signalled the end of her relationship with fellow professional wrestler Alberto Del Rio (or Alberto El Patron, as he is now known outside of WWE).

The Brit appeared on a friend's Snapchat video - which can be seen here at ProWrestlingSheet.com - exclaiming "This is why I'm single", while stood close to a couple kissing in public.

The relationship between the pair became public knowledge in May 2016, and photographs emerged of Paige proposing to Del Rio at an independent wrestling show just five months later.

However, the relationship was not without controversy. Rumours of domestic abuse circulated heavily online, especially in the wake of a public shouting match at Orlando airport - an incident which saw the police involved.

Paige's father and brother - members of the noteworthy Knight wrestling family in Norwich, England - released statements over the course of the relationship, accusing Del Rio of hindering their relative's return to WWE. The former Divas Champion has not wrestled since the June 26th 2016 episode of Monday Night Raw, thanks to a combination of injuries and two suspensions for violating the wellness policy.

However, this September Paige was cleared to return to action, and revealed on social media that she was attending the WWE Performance Centre - presumably to shake off any ring rust.

Del Rio himself speculated last week that she would likely return within the next few days - although there's been so sign of Paige on WWE programming yet.

All signs seem to indicate, however, that the 25 year old will be returning to action soon - whether or not this apparent split from Del Rio turns out to be true or not. A return would likely do wonders for WWE's women's division, as Paige was one of their most popular and marketable stars before being sidelined.

For his part, Del Rio has yet to comment on his relationship status, but recently returned to Impact Wrestling after a suspension enforced earlier this year.
